My granddaughter loves to read about Jack and Annie but then has trouble sleeping. Perhaps a year later would have been better. The stories are great and the learning is wonderful, though. Time will help separate fact from fiction for her.
My son is 6 years old and loves to read these books. He quickly became engrossed in the stories and is begging for more. At first, he was a bit put off by the number of words per page and not many pictures. but not for long. He also is collecting stamps to put in his "Official Passport" which can be found on the Random House website. What a great activity.
My 7 year old son just loves these books. They are great books for those that are ready to take on Chapter books, but have not been reading all that long. They are also a good way to introduce more difficult words into their vocabulary.
I have purchased eight of the books available for my grandchild. She is an avid reader and wants to read them ALL. They please her very much. linda walmer
There are just enough pictures to satisfy his curiosity. My son is five and his dad starting reading these books to him before bed. He actually listens and is excited by the story line. I also like the ongoing nature of the series. A great series if you're ready to start with chapter books.
